How old is joe girardi?And how old was he when he retired with the yankees?
Girardi is 41, will be 42 this year. His last year as a player was 2003 as a Cardinal, but he actually retired after Spring Training with the Yankees in 2004 after he was released by the Cards. So, this is a trick question; he last played during the regular season for the Yanks in 2000, but HAD been picked up by the Yanks in 2004, although he didn't play during the season. It's like Flaherty this year. He officially went to the Red Sox, but retired during Spring Training. So did he retire as a Yankee, or as a member of the Red Sox?
