Vista Sec
Should my two Vista machines be able to transfer file faster than 10MB/sec over a wired network?
I have two Vista PC's on a wired network. When I transfer files between the two I only get around 10MB/sec for speed. Remote differential compression is disabled on both. Same result when using a CAT5e patch cable to directly connect them. Is this normal or should it be faster?
There is no anti-virus software installed on either machine.
Try disabling any anti-virus programs like Norton if they're on there.
If that doesn't work, you may need to request and download the hotfix from Microsoft.
