beaver county community college ATC time off?
i go to ccbc for ATC and will be finishing my 1st semester end of this month. i start again july 22 for summer classes. i do not live near the school , i just rent an apt. i just want to know if i have a summer vacation or if i have to stay here and get my pilot's license. i have about 12 hours as of now. so can i put that off till july or must i stay and finish?
You should check with the Registrar's Office or your academic advisor, about your program schedule and requirements. Since flight instruction must be done by FAA licensed CFI, and is not part of the academic curriculum, there may be an expectation that you use the time between the end of your term, and the start of summer term to work on your pilot's license. It's possible to complete ground school and the balance of your dual and solo training to check ride by July 22, but that is a pretty intensive training program, and you'll be doing it in a time when weather is becoming more active.
I'd really discuss this with your advisor, as soon as possible.
