Relaxed Hair Mega Growth Problem !?
Hello,
I took a visit to the hair salon at about Febuary, I got my hair cut to about sholder length and since then my hair just hasn't been growing, if anything it actually feels like it's going shorter. My mum is making it worse by saying that if my hair doesn't start growing then i'm going back natural which will result to the big chop =(
I have had my hair relaxed four times in two years. Two of these were home-relaxers, but the others were done professionaly by my local salon.
I use:
SoftSheen.Carson OptiCleanse Shampoo,
Organic Hair Mayonnaise
TCB Hydrating Hot Oil
Organic Hair Fertilizer
**Then I Straighten It**
Then:
KeraCare Leave-In Conditioner
Sta-Sof-Fro Hair Spray
I Always Use Ghd Heat Portectors & Hair Straighteners.
Please Help, i really don't want to suffer with the big chop. I Need my hair to GROW !!!

Your hair is growing, but it probably breaking off. Relaxed hair breaks sometimes due to overprocessing or using heat appliances too frequently. It is also possible that you might be using too much protein which can cause the hair to become too brittle and break off. If you are seeing all different lengths of hair on the bathroom floor and on your clothes when you style your hair you are experiencing breakage. The other thing that is possible is that your hair is not breaking, but the shrinkage of the new growth is causing it to not look any longer. Your length would show once you straighten your hair though.
If you decide to go back natural which is very healthy, you do not have to do the bc. You can grow out the relaxer and do small trims until you are chemical free. Hope this helps and good luck with your hair.
