ok so maybe i dont think ccws are going to take it with egos bigger then their wallets and all but there was a few lines i found very informative
Forsythe and Pettit did not respond to emails but longtime Champ Car lynchpin Carl Haas admitted he’d had discussions with the IRL founder to switch series.
“It hasn’t happened yet but we’ve certainly considered going,” said Haas, who along with Paul Newman and Mike Lanigan own Champ Car’s most visible and successful operation. “It may not happen this year, but it’s highly probable we’ll do it in 2009 because there needs to be one series.”
if that happens champ car is done, over, end game, and lights out, the ccws owners might want to take the offer before the offer isnt needed anymore

After reading the article yesterday, one could say that it is a no-brainer. At CC, it takes, what six brains to run their operation. In IndyCar, it takes one. And we've seen what those six "brainiacs" have done for their series. If there was a unification, I can say whole heartedly that Tony is the man for the job.
