Nikon P80 Issues Here?
Right now I'm working on a photo montage for this year's art show, and I'm doing it of the rock quarry "ruins" in our town's walking trails. However, every time I take pictures of the trees just above the quarry, they turn all pixelated, with these annoying tiny, colored dots. I've tried so many different settings: changing from fluorescent to daytime to incandescent. I've even changed the type of photo I'm taking from scenery to sunset to what have you. I even experiment with flash, and it just turned out the same. I'm not zoomed in or anything when I take the pics. I even put it on a flat surface to see if my shaking was interfering. None of these things worked! It seems to be trees that mess up horribly in my pictures. Everything else will look great: rocks, water, sky, ect...But it's always trees that turn out pixelated and color spotty. It's frustrating.
You mention adjusting everything except the 2 things that might help. First, the ISO setting, set that as low as possible for less noise. Second, the Quality setting, set that to the highest 3648 x 2736(10M) for better quality images.
When shooting, check that the light is coming from behind you, back-lighting through the trees will tend to produce a speckled effect.
