My sister & friends saved up arcade tickets at jersey shore in wildwood, why did they call the cops?
In wildwood on the boardwalk, the "gateway" or something... The past two years My sister and friends had a shore house each summer, they had jobs down there and when they got bored they played the slots in the arcade and stuff, they saved up all these arcade tickets and coins for TWO YEARS!. Because if you get enough tickets they have like Big screen TVs and cool stuff as prizes, all over wall to wall, floor to ceiling prizes. I remember going down there last year and won this big jackpot and gave it to them to add to their huge collection!
Well they finally went to cash it in this September and were really excited about it only to have the COPS CALLED ON THEM because "nobody has that many coins and tickets with-out trading it in for a slip"...what is a slip? and how did we win so many jackpots only to be nearly arrested with no say or anything? Can I do anything? Its like they got scammed and robbed...
If you were accused of a crime (or if it looked like you were accused to a reasonable bystander) then you may have basis for a lawsuit to compensate you for your embarrassment. Please consult an attorney. There is a lot of fraud involved in this industry and you may just be a victim of the same. So who will make an example of them?
The amusement industry relies upon people who will give away their money. So people like you will regularly get screwed.
