Who will be this year's Miami Dophins?
In 2007 Miami had a 1-15 record, last year they went 11-5. Who can do that this year? The worst 5 teams last year were obviously the Lions, Rams, Chiefs, Seattle, Cleveland, and Cincinnati. Out of the 5 who as the best chance to do what Miami did a year ago?
The Lions, Chiefs, Cleveland, and Cincinatti have to do a little more building, but will be fine in the future, I just dont see playoffs in 2009. The Chiefs are looking ok, I think they need to upgrade DBs more. Plus the chiefs have to deal with San Diego, Denver, and I won't even throw Oakland in there. The Rams play in the NFC West and don't even think they will make it out. They added Jason Brown from Baltimore which was good, Donnie Avery I see is there only receiver, and I am not impressed with there defense at all, but they do have some people on there that are good
I like Seattle in 2009 being the 2008 Miami Dolphins:
The addition of T. J. Houshmandzadeh was a nice upgrade to the WR position to pair him up with a healthy Deion Branch, and Burleson in the slot.
Leroy Hill and Lofa Tatupu will hold up the LBs. The front is fine. They made need to draft another DB later in the draft. I think first they will draft a OL (walter jones is not getting any younger). They need to protect Hasselbeck in order for them to be where they were a few seasons ago.
As far as RB. Julius needs to step up. T. J. Duckett last year was horrible. They need to pick up a RB in the Second-Round (#37). and I think that Mike Goodson will be there.
They may go any where between 8-8 to 10-6. Just because they will sweep the rams and split the games with the cardinals and 49ers and thats what like 4-2 right there.
Week 3 Chicago - L
Week 4 at Colts - L
5 Jags - W
8 at cowboys - L
9 lions - W
11 minnesota - W
14 houston - W
15 Tampa Bay - W
16 at GB - L (it will be crazy cold)
17 Titans - L
so right there thats what 9-7 with a division win compared to the 08 record of 4-12 and no playoffs, a 5 game improvement but hey its good and thats all it took for Arizona to clinch it
