Stuff to do/where are things in Calgary?

- How close is the Pengrowth Saddledome to the airport?
- Are there any arcades around the Saddledome or surrounding area?
- Any internet cafes?
- A good, cheap hotel or motel?
- How is the public transit system there?
- What is there to do at night in Calgary? Perhaps something other than a nightclub or bar...

From the airport in good traffic it takes about 12-15 minutes by car to the Dome. In rush hour it could take up to 40 minutes. As far as I know there are no arcades near the Dome (I've never even heard of one in the city to be honest).

There is an internet cafe on 17th Ave at 14th Street SW called Hard Disk Cafe (assuming you are looking in the same area as the Saddledome?), and there is also one in the Kensington area, on 10th Street NW (can't remember what it's called). However most hotels have a business centre where you can check emails etc. for a fee.

For the most part when it comes to Calgary hotels, you get what you pay for. If you're looking to stay downtown then you're looking at probably a minimum of $130 night, could be a lot more depending on the season. I would say you should check out Motel Village (16th Ave and Banff Trail). Avoid the Savoury lodge and the Ramada Ltd though. Motel Village is located within close walking distance to a C-Train station that will take you downtown in 10 min or less.

As for things to do at night there are some wonderful restaurants, there are also several casinos, bowling alleys etc.
