Monmouth Park
Did anyone else see the comet/ meteor/ or Satelite over the Wall Township area of NJ last night (11/16/09)?

I was visting friends in NJ the other day and I went out around 1:30 -2am to take his dog for a walk and have a smoke. I was literally right beside the Wall Township water tower when I saw the largest, brightest shooting star I've ever seen. It went across almost 2/3rd's of the sky leaving behind a bright whitish blue trail, it was easily 5 or 10 times bigger & brighter then a normal shooting star & it was like nothing I've ever seen.

I tried to look online to see if anyone else saw it or if there was any explanation for what I saw. I couldn't find anything about that particular night, but I saw other posts about nights in the past, ironically enough, from that same area (the other report was from Monmouth Park, NJ) and it seemed everyone was debating if it was a meteor, Comet, or simply a reflection of a low satelite. I'm not sure what it was but it was definitly an amazing site and I'm just curious to know if anyone else out there saw it.

Thanks!

It must have been a large meteor, which can appear very bright and leave a trail.
It wasn't a comet because comets are relatively distant and show no obvious movement. It wasn't a satellite reflecting the Sun because at 1.30 am. on a November night, the Sun is well below the horizon and any low satellite would be deep in the earth's shadow.
