If the 1984 Edmonton Oilers played the 1991 Pittsburgh Penguins in a Stanley Cup Final, who would win?
I'm speaking hypothetically.
I need a lot of answers.
that's a tough one...
remember the lock out year? well they were showing old Islanders games including one against the Oilers... and it seems so slow compared to what the game had become in the 90s, and I watch games from the 90s now and its even faster now than it was then... and the goaltending was a whole different sport in 84... Roy changed the whole thing in the following years...
so straight up, if you like teleported those teams to a rink and they played it out tomorrow through next Saturday... Pens in 4... but if they played in like a video game simulation and they were rated in their time, Oilers in 7. Fuhr and Moog man... that's way better than Barrasso if you preserve talent for the time in looking at the matchup. It always comes down to goaltending in these tight ones.
