You can see that there is a fairly well defined "wet season" that occurs there in the winter and spring, with relative dryness the rest of the year. This is due mostly to a more predominant onshore flow of moisture off the eastern Pacific Ocean. The wind flow tends to change at other times of the year which reduces the amount of moisture as a result.
