Suns Nba
Suns Nba
Do you think that the Mavericks or Suns can win the Nba Western Conference instead of the LA Lakers?
Particularly the Phoenix Suns
Can they win the West?
Whos better Mavericks or Suns?
Also Heat or Celtics and Jazz or Nuggets in the 1st round?
Yeah, I think it's completely plausible that both the Suns and the Mavericks could put up a fight against the Lakers and ultimately beat them. However, it remains to be seen how well the Lakers will play. If they play like they were in the beginning of the season, they will most likely win the West. If they play the way they've been playing lately, they'd be lucky to get past the second round. If you look at the standings, Dallas only finished 2 games back from the Lakers and the Suns only 3.
If I were to choose the team that has the highest chance of beating the Lakers, it would be the Suns. They're just completely on fire right now, and Steve Nash is one of the smartest players I have ever seen. Plus that guy Amar'e isn't too bad either. It still surprises me that people complain about the Suns style and that it could never win a championship. The Suns play more of a half game this year than they ever had in the D'Antoni era. Plus their defense in the second half has been solid. Now, they probably won't beat teams with their defense, but it's good to know that if the offense isn't clicking, the defense can still be solid.
Another thing that will make the Suns a threat come Playoff time is their bench. Dragic, Barbosa, Dudley, Amundson, and Frye do a great job of giving the starters rest. They push the tempo, play good defense, and make their shots from downtown. Even more impressive has been the play of Goran Dragic. Nash is averaging the least amount of minutes since the 1999-2000 season where he averaged 27.4 mpg. This is all due to the confident, young Goran Dragic who is putting together a great season off the bench.
If the Suns are to win against the Lakers, they need Robin Lopez back. The fact is, even without Bynum, the Lakers front line is too strong for the Suns. With Robin Lopez, the Suns can at least guard the post better, and bounce some bodies around in the paint.
Not to say that the Mavericks can't make noise, because they can, but I just feel that the Suns' chances are higher because of their hot play lately. When it's all said and done, the Lakers will probably come out of the West, but don't be surprised if the Suns or the Mavericks have something to say about that!
Good luck! I hope this helped!
