Questions about making the speakers on a home theater system wireless or if it's even necessary?
See I'm looking at buying a Panasonic - 1000W 5.1-Ch. Blu-ray Home Theater System Model #:SC-BT330 And I was just wondering what I would have to buy to make the rear speakers wireless. Is it really even necessary? How long are the cords for the speakers? And how would I connect them to the system without having wires hanging all over my living room? Thanks ahead of time!
Best Buy sells this wireless set for speakers that works with most standard speakers and receivers.
The set consists of a transmitter and receiver. The transmitter connects to your home theater system instead of the rear speakers.
You then connect the rear speakers to the wireless receiver in the back of your room. That's it, really. When the home theater system is on, the transmitter will establish a link to the wireless receiver in the back of the room and send the signal back to your speakers.
If your speakers aren't the stupid type that have the wires connected inside the casing, you can easily use any sort of speaker wire, in case you wanted something longer or shorter, for instance. Generally though, those "home theater in a box" kits only give you 6 to 10 feet of wire for the rear speakers. Again, not a problem if you're using a wireless transmitter kit for the rear speakers. I wouldn't bother with a wireless kit for the front speakers. There's no point.
