adult corn snake and juvenile?
alright well i have 3 juvenile corn snakes about 8-9 months old eating hoppers that currently all live in a 10 gallon tank. i also i have a 2 year old corn snake(over 4ft long) that eats small rats in a 40gallon tank. i was wondering if its okay to trnasfer the juvenile corn snakes into the larger 40 gallon tank with the bigg corn snake. will the adult harm the juveniles?
I wouldn't advise it. Im no snake expert. Thats where I lack in reptile experience but with anything else you shouldn't house young reptiles with older ones. The one will become dominant and probably not let the other ones eat. The large one could also try to hurt them if they are in her territory. Try getting a larger cage for all of them (because 40 gallons for a 4ft snake sounds cruel) So get them all larger tanks and wait till they are all able to defend themselves against the larger one before mixing them..
