What do you think of the Philly eagles in 09-10 season?
I am not to optimistic this season.
Its tough to say. McNabb is a great QB and Westbrook can dominate when hes healthy. Their WRs are developing nicely but still need a legit #1 WR. Offensive Line might be hurting this year as both starting tackles are free agents and they prob cant keep both.
Their defense is questionable in my opinion. Letting Dawkins go to Denver was a big mistake, but their secondary has some big names still (Brown, Samuel). Their D-line needs some improvement as well as the linebacker positions but any defense with Jim Johnson at the helm should play well. Pressure on the QB is always Philly's game, and healthy D-linemen and LBs are vital to that success.
The NFC East is arguably the toughest in the game today, so its hard to tell who will take the championship. Washington has some potential if Portis can dominate, Dallas is always a threat (even without T.O.) and the Giants have proven they can contend with the best...
I know the schedule comes out on Tuesday on nfl.com but I think that the Eagles will go 9-7 or 10-6. They have simply too much talent to be an under .500 team.
And if they can land a big name WR this year like Boldin or someone they would be deadly! Jackson is pretty decent but needs a lot more to learn...like holding onto the ball until AFTER he crosses the goal line.
