If I decided to sell my house in Dallas today, what should I expect?
It's such an uncertain time. We live in Dallas where there wasn't a housing bubble as seen in other areas of the country? If we decided to sell today, what should we expect to face?
I am in Austin and I would think that your issue might be new construction. I know that many preowned houses are going for the same amount that I could build my own home PLUS there were better incentives (financing and builder) made it a no brainer. I chose a new home for 150K-was able to pick my own finishes, all brand new GE profile appliances, 5.375% fixed interest, plus I paid less than 5K out of pocket at closing and that included the 1500 earnest money.
So thats what I would figure you are up againt and frankly I think it will be hard to compete
